A Fine Binding Edition Of Ten Etchings pulled from original Borein Plates Authenticated by Harold Davidson

Superbly custom bound limited edition containing ten important etchings pulled from the original Borein plates – Cinch Binder Bronc Breaker Scratchin' High Bronco Cutting Back Strays Blackfoot Chiefs, Montana Hopi Boys The Wooden Bridge at Taos Mission San Antonio De Padua The edition is dedicated to Harold Davidson, noted Borein authority, for his scholarly research and authorship of the life and work of the artist. Limited to a total of fifty special editions and twenty-five presentation editions. Both are large quarto (12"X 15 1/2") bound in full English calf leather (special edition in brown, presentation edition in green) covers with richly gilt fronts and backs; spine finished with gold ornamentation and raised bands; top edge full gilt both inside front and back covers finished with gold dentelles. Each volume is housed in a slipcase with handmade marbled paper with top and bottom and finger pulls in fine leather. The books, both editorial pages and etching proofs, are printed on 120 gram handmade paper – "Arches" brand from Rives, France. The etchings were prepared and hand proofed by Patrick Merrill, master printer. David Weinstein, bookbinder, contributed his skills to the binding process and gold finishing. Special Edition – Brown leather, ten etchings, slipcase.
